Breath
The condensation of exhaled breath—where water vapor becomes visible on cooler surfaces—functions as a temporary contamination of institutional authorship through bodily trace. By breathing onto selected artworks within MASS MoCA and its vicinity in North Adams, the work intervenes in established fields of meaning, inserting a transient biological index into systems of authorship.
