Means of Exchange questions the reciprocity and perceptions created within an exchange built on the demands of the free market.
Each painting's surface is composed of diminutive fragments of paper sourced from the uppermost margin of US dollar banknotes. The remainder of the bill is documented and reintegrated into circulation. The purchase receipts obtained from expending the balance of the bill are affixed to the reverse of each painting, providing a record of the date, location, and item(s) acquired.
