Confusion of Tongues
The work alludes to the origin myth of the Tower of Babel as recounted in Genesis 11:1–9: "Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves". The story details the fragmentation of communication into differences and misunderstandings. What began as a collective effort on a grand scale, descended into farce and failure as the ideal tower could never be built. At the mercy of omnipotence, the inevitable result of Babel's folly was social conflict.
